Get on Track with Let’s Ride Track Days
Friday, May 31, 2013
Everyone honors the men and woman who gave their lives serving our country in different ways. This past Memorial Day sport riding enthusiasts gathered at central California’s Buttonwillow Raceway Park to spin some laps with Let’s Ride Track Days
Let’s Ride hosts trackdays for those who want to experience the thrill of riding their motorcycle on a closed course away from cars, animals, and other distractions that riders deal with on public roads. It holds events on Buttonwillow’s multi-configuration road course that can be run in clockwise or counter-clockwise orientation. Despite the pavement being rough and bumpy in spots, it’s still a thrilling track due to the variety of twists and turns include a bit of elevation. It’s also really easy to get to as its located right off the I5 freeway about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles.
As opposed to other track day provides, Let’s Ride splits riders into three groups (A/B/C, A-being for more experienced riders) by skill level to make for a safer riding experience for everyone. Each group gets 20 minutes on track every hour except for a short 15 minute break to provide safety workers lunch. The cost to ride is $160 and instruction is available too if you need some help getting up to speed or learning the right line around the track. And if you don’t have the grip to get you knee on deck CT Racing is there to mount up Pirelli’s fabulous Supercorsa racing tires. Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning is also onsite to help get your motorcycle’s suspension and chassis functioning optimally for track use.
There’s nothing like zipping up your leather suit and spinning wheels on track to get the blood flowing and experience the true performance of your motorcycle. Considering the safety/performance features of modern sport including traction control and ABS, not to mention the Velcro-like grip of Pirelli’s latest rubber if you've never experienced riding on track... what are you waiting for?
