Good touring bike. Engine smooth and a low RPM at cruising speed in 5th gear. There are 6 gears. Plenty of passing power and straight away speed out with this 650. Good control on quick stops. A little lag time with the suspension on slowing into curves.(There are suspension adjustments.) However this is hardly noticeable with the correct outside inside outside technique. Shifter is a bit quicker then the clutch.I suggest an after market clutch since there is a long pull with the Suzuki OME clutch.(Despite the clutch lever adjustment which is basically worthless for the OME part). Very comfortable to cover the brake while on the throttle. Very comfortable upright position. Controls are well placed. However, although helpful, don't get too dependant on the gear position indicator display. Keep your eyes on the road and feel your bike. Three disc brakes are tight and respond well. Don't skimp on the oil or fuel. 93 octane and top of the line synthetics will make for a better ride. Fairing does an excellent job at re directing wind up and over my helmet. Purchased the bike in the summer of 2009 and had no problems with it. Hard to find GSX650F specific after market accessories. Had to directly go through a German Company to get a set of quality bike GSX650F frame sliders.
Overall an excellent and affordable choice for a sport tourer. Highly recommend it.

my rating on this bike is for the engine a 5, suspension 4, handling 5, transmission 5, Ergononmics ?, value 4, brakes 5, components 4, reliability 5! But what happen to be able to dress this bike up add some fairing for looks and chrome and other accessories! That would make me a very happier customer if i could do something else to this bike! Thanks!
