Wednesday, December 05, 2012
Macau resident and filmmaker Sergio Perez returns with another highlight video of the annual street race of his home city. The Macau Grand Prix is unique amongst the premier street races on the road racing calendar, as it is run in on urban streets and is the only street race to feature both bikes and cars. This year a familiar name, Michael Rutter, took the win in the
2012 Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The Blade claimed Macau Grand Prix career win number eight, making him the winningest rider at the event. Fellow Isle of Man TT and NW200 competitors were unable to catch Rutter, who set a dominating lead pace. However, the battle for the podium was fierce, with Gary Johnson, Martin Jessop, Simon Andrews and John McGuinness all in the rostrum hunt.
