Guy Martin looks to snare his first TT victory with the TAS Suzuki squad in 2011.

The five-TT-winning dominator of the 2010 Isle of Man, Ian Hutchinson, has signed a two-year deal to race the roads with Yamaha.

Hutchinson will contest all the major road races, including the Isle of Man TT, North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and Macau Grand Prix, aboard the Yamaha R1.

The signing of Hutchinson bolsters Yamaha’s effort on the road courses, with Honda and Suzuki the most successful OEMs in recent years.

Gary Johnson lost the runner-up position in Saturday's Superbike TT due to a pit lane infringement.

John McGuinness: "I am speechless… I feel like I am dreaming. It looked like it was going to be a mega-close race to begin with. Bruce was really pushing hard at the beginning there and we lost some time but we had a great pit stop, went back out and got the lead back. I did six good laps, I didn’t make any mistakes and we had two terrific pit stops by a fantastic team. They put a lot of faith in me and I put a lot of faith in them and it paid off. It was tiring but I have to say that the EWC races are really paying dividends now in terms of bike fitness. Somebody said to me today if you get that 16th win it will be sweet 16 – and it certainly feels sweet."

Gary Johnson: “I was aiming my sights at a podium today and didn’t even know I had been penalized for speeding in the pit lane. First time I saw my pit board at the Gooseneck I was P2 and then next time I was P4 so I thought I had best put the hammer down. I pushed as hard as I could, but the front end went off a little bit and it made my last sector a bit slower than I had hoped. But to finish in third place with a 30 second penalty is great.”

Gary Johnson dropped from second to fourth following a penalty issued for speeding through the pits. However, Johnson managed to recover third as both Bruce Anstey and Guy Martin retired early from the race.

Beer, friends and some great racing. What more could you ask for?

Ryan Farquhar: "The final evening of practice was going well and we were certainly heading in the right way after the problems we'd had earlier in the week but it all went wrong when I went through Keppel Gate. I was back down for two gears for the right hander and then down one more gear for the left but I hit a false neutral in between the two corners and ran off the track. I managed to save the bike and was skirting the barriers but just when I thought I'd saved it, the final barrier came back out towards the course and I hit it head on and down I went. It really knocked the stuffing out of me but I wasn't knocked out or anything like that and remembered it all and thought I'd be ok to race on Monday. The plan was to get out of hospital on Saturday and get the Superstock bike prepared for Monday's race, but I've had to admit that it's simply not possible.”
