Ive owned mine for 2 days now and i weight 250 pounds. This thing rips i highly recommend it to seasoned riders. I have done my homework now for a full year and decided to go with the 2009 Raptor 700R SE let me tell you that i love it. Crazy power down low. Super mid power and break neck top speed. you can actually lug this thing real slow just like a 4x4 atv. Response on the throttle is awesome and very crisp. 1 st 2nd and 3 rd gear wheelies are easily done. I do recommend new tires because those cheap 2 ply dunlops are no good traction wize go itp or maxxis 6 ply. Learn to respect the torque or your going down. I ride sand, wooded trails, mud, rocky trails, wide dirt roads. 2nd and 3 rd gear is an arm ripper. Always wear a helmet even to go park it. This thing is a beast. Watch out for the cheap oil drain plug dont over tighten it or your going to strip it to hell. I would by again without a second tought. Reliable, cheap and fast is what i was looking for. Im going out for another ride see you out on the trails and ride safe...

i have owned this quad for 9 months now as of 11-16-09 and must say after owning a 250R Honda ATC, Suzuki LT500 Quadzilla, and a 2001 Raptor thatthis is the best all around for the money sport quad available for sale today. Gone are the transmission problems of the '01 Yamahas this bike is built tough and is very smooth to ride. i mainly ride in sand dune areas of Little Sahara State Park in Wynoka,Ok. "cheap plug" but i have managed to wear the new off the dirt tires too. i have 20 hours on it now and have no problems to report however i can report that with skat track 8 paddle haulers only and a GYTR air filter and my weight of 203lbs this bike consistently spanked piped banshees, a 330 Honda stroked fourtrax, and most anything in a drag race with little mods done to it, no i did not line up with 2 foot long streatched swingarm sand draggers that would be stupid to even get in that group. While trail riding 2nd or 3rd gear is all you need the engine has so much torque it keeps your attention on the trail instead of constant shifting. well i could go on but as you can tell i am happy with my 2009 Yamaha Raptor 700R SE.
