The second and third stages of the Australasian Safari took place back-to-back with limited servicing, and a penalty was enforced for tire changes.

David Beavis earned fifth overall in the event aboard his Honda CRF450X with a time of 28:05:11.

In the first day alone competitors traveled 356 kilometers.

On the fourth day competitors headed south toward Norseman, leaving behind red dirt and rocks for the sandy white beach of Esperance in western Australia.
