2009 Kawasaki
Vulcan 900 Classic LT
MSRP $8,799
To create the fully accessorized, ready-to-tour Vulcan 900 Classic LT cruiser, Kawasaki started with a class-leading Vulcan 900 Classic and boosted its class-leading attributes. Included in the style and touring enhancements were saddlebags, a special touring seat, passenger backrest and an adjustable windshield. Aptly adorned, the Vulcan 900 LT arrives on the showroom floor with just one thing missing a rider ready to enjoy this Vulcan on the open road.

Agree with the others that wish there was a tach. Guess if I REALLY needed it I would have added it. Nothing wrong with a few RPMs - after all it is a 900,but that 900 provides plenty of oomph for me and the wife at 330 pounds combined. Increadibly comfortable compared to the Vulcan 750 I rode for the last 5 years. I am 5'9" tall with a 30" inseam. The reach was just a little uncomfortable for me so I added risers to gain a couple inches and it feels perfect now. The stock seat is just fine. I would like the chance to ride one with a gel seat to see if there is a difference. Whether riding or just looking at it I feel like I have a "big boy" bike - something the 750 didn't do for me. I don't like having to unlock the seat to use the helmet lock. Based on my first 1200 miles of riding I intend to keep this bike for at least the full 6 year (standard plus extended) warranty period.

I bought this bike on August 1st 2009. I put about 900 miles on it and have loved every mile. The post about the gearing is correct I still find myself looking for a sixth gear. A tachometer would be nice but would not be as necessary if there was a 6th gear. Don’t get me wrong the bike has no trouble going down the highway at 70 MPH. I have already put on passenger foot boards and highway bars, along with a luggage rack. I don’t think you can go wrong with this bike. I got mine new for $7,800.00 including 2 helmets and TTL.

Have owned this bike since 2007. It is one of the truely great cruisers for daily use out there. My wife and I take at least two 2000-3000 mile cruses each summer on it and it is fast and stable on the expressway. It is also light enough to not have to wrestle with it in town. I drive it to work every day and it is very agile and easy to handle in the city. It would be nice if it had a tack and passenger floorboards but most of the competion also do not. Also the gearing is a little low on the highway but it will still go 80 mph all day. Just sounds like there should be another gear there.

All it needs is rear floor boards and a tach.
