I have a newer Honda, a Sportster 1200, and this Dyna. The bulk of my riding is on the highway and my wife is often the passenger. Once I added the passenger pillion, a sissy bar, and a OEM Harley touring windshield, I became very disappointed with this bike. The vibration for the passenger is very close to totally unbearable and the windshield is really affecting the handling of this bike at highway speeds with turbulence. The sportster has a similar touring windshield and passenger pillion and is more comfortable for my wife and handles way better. We believe the 1200 Sportster to be a far superior bike over this one. I even prefer to ride my Honda 750 over the Dyna. It's lighter, also has a touring windshield and doesn't get affected near as much by wind turbulence as the Dyna does.

This is my first Harley and I love it. It is a pleasure to ride and when I am not riding it, I am thinking of ride it. Eventho it is a low end model, as far as Harleys go, it still delivers everything that a Harley should.

I bought this bike in aug,2008 and have made it my soul source of transpo. It has never let me down and never failed to make me smile when I ride it!The handles are fantastic!power is smooth and right there(I am 40 yrs exp.and just want more)but could use a little boost if you're experienced.rookies will love it!This thing is so well made, there are little h-d logos on the allen bolts holding on the outer case covers, hardly any plastic and the paint is flawless and deep.I LOVE THIS BIKE,THE RIDE AND BUILD QUALITY ARE TOP SHELF!

From an old Harley Rider, I rate the Dyna (standard) as an excellent motorcycle for the price and superior workmanship. I recently took the Harley upgrade promotion, and traded in my 2008 1200 Sportster (Roadster) and am very pleased. Please don't get me wrong, I loved my Sportster, it being my starters bike after being away from riding for thirty years. My Dyna Super Glide is excellent for me in size, weight and power. My Thanks to Harley!! and keep up the good work. Jim
