Riding a trike is a trade off. you loose the thrill of leaning into the tight turns but you gain more then you loose. I have been looking at trikes for the last few years having seen many at rallies and occasionally on the road. I have been riding for many years but only went to Harley Davidson in 2005 after having a chance to ride a frinds FLHTC. I was considering going to a goldwing tirke but was not happy with having to do a conversion and void the honda warrenty. When Harley came out with the Tri Glide it was a no brainer for me becuse it was warrentied by harley from front to back. To be honest I like the classic look of Harley Davidson and I felt the Tri Glide maintains that look. My first couple of days riding the Tri Glide was interesting I fould myself slowing down for the curves and shifting my weight to reduce the feeling of being off balcance. As time went by I realized that a small adjustment in my position on the bike made it possible to take the turns almost as fast and in some cases faster then on two wheels. It has been said that Harley made the Tri Glide to "slip rather then tip" is very true, I am agressive in the turns and have yet to slip or tip the bike. On the highway it handles like a dream and the suspension reduces the bumps to a small shimmy from the rear end. The greatest thing to get over is to learn not to put you feet down when you stop. I will close with a quote from someone I talked to about riding a trike before I bought this one "for the first couple of weeks I thought I made a big mistake, but then after that I was happy I went to a trike". I now feel very comfortable on the bike and have no problem keeping up with my fellow riders who like to rid e the road like they stole their bikes. Most of all it's nice to know that I have a bike I can ride into my 80's or perhaps 90's
