2009 Harley-Davidson
Heritage Softail Classic - FLSTC
MSRP $17,999
The Heritage Softail Classic receives a number of other, more-subtle styling changes and new components that shift this popular model in a new, retro direction for 2009. The beefy FL front end features a front fender and chrome nacelle with clean new styling cues, while taller handlebars change the rider’s profile. The fuel tank has new glass-filled, 3-D badges and is topped with a classic “Cat Eye” console and matching retro speedometer face. Half-moon rider footboards and a large, oval foot brake pad also nod to the past. The passenger seat and backrest have been revised for more comfort, while the sissy bar has new trim that matches the new two-tone leather console panel. Both the revised saddle bag and seat trim have been restyled. The King-Size windshield can be quickly detached for more streamlined cruising.

I bought a used 2009 Heritage Softail with 900 miles in September 2010. I have put on over 1,000 miles and the bike is great. Smooth ride, power, and look great. Gas mileage could be better I get only 40 miles to the gallon.

This is bike number 18, and my first Harley. I love the looks and feel of this bike. It is fantastic on the open road with it's 6 speed trans. For a heavy bike, it does very will in the city with the only exception of of me scraping the floorboard when you make sharp lowspeed turns (the clearance is a little too low). 90% of my driving is 2up and the bike is perfect for that (I just wish I had 1 more setting for a little stiffer suspension). I highly recommend this bike to anybody that loves the open road......

My third Harley is the most enjoyable of all. My Road King required many upgrades and I couldn't make my Street Glide comfortable. The Heritage came with all the necessary equipment with the exception of a tach. It has real world comfort, spirited performance, and impressive looks. It reminds me of the machines I grew up with. The 2009 model has several retro touches and I only wanted for the tombstone tailight. The brakes could be a little better and the fuel gauge isn't very accurate. The B motor is smooth and powerful and handling/balance is excellent. Try one and you won't be disappointed.

My 2009 Heritage in Dark Blue Pearl, is simply a dream come true. Bought it back in March. Out the door for $17,500 including tax. Plenty of power, comfortable seat, wife loves the new passenger pillion and backrest, it's a head turner. Also have profile laced wheel option and whitewalls...a must, security upgrade and some chrome. Coming up on 1000 miles and will be putting on samson true duals and stage one kit. At 5'9", this scoot is a perfect fit.....bags are perfect, some say too gaudy, but then again YOUR BUYING A HERITAGE....DUH
