Been riding 45 years, owned at least 20 bikes, the XB12XT is at the top. Better than my Star Roadliner (2006 cruiser bike of the year), better than my 2009 BMW R1200GS (perennial best adventure bike). These Buells can be had for a song now. I bought two, both with less than 3000 miles, for $5000 each. Incredible value. By far the most enjoyable riding bike in my collection. Also the smoothest running (except the idle, which is pure Harley). The XB12XT is fast and fun. Although not a straight line speed demon, acceleration off corners is as good or better than anything I've ridden. By the way, I HATE Harleys, but will make a notable exception in this case. Eric Buell's team nailed this design. It's the best on the market today, bar none. Zero maintenance, built like a tank. Just throw some Amsoil in the cases and ride it like you stole it. Harley really fouled up when they stopped making the Ulysses, it's the best all around bike in their entire inventory.

I have owned a lot of bikes from the 70's on and this is the smoothest scootenist best handling of them all. I have five bikes right know and ride all types of machines but this is the most enjoyable of all I have ever had. It carves through mountain roads and never slows down going up the grades and mountains. The front brake is awsome. The engine pulls like no other from a low grunt or winding it up. I am 6' and weigh 285 and still get 44-51 miles per gallon. On a recent ride to Death Valley I could not beleive how it ran perfect at every altitude. I love it!

One week after buying it, I have this to say about my new bike:
Great in all aspect you could find with a bike like this.
Coming from a Yamaha, which I was realy happy with, but...
This is more quality all the way.
> the brakes
> the smooth and explosive engine
> the over-average components quality
> I have never been sitting better on a bike
> the sound of it
