This bike replaced my 2006 Honda 750 Shadow Aero.
I bought it brand new in February of 2011 and it was priced to sell at $9995.00. This bike came with features such as saddlebags, windshied and passenger backrest which would have had to be purchased seperately if I had gone with another Honda Shadow. I love everything about the bike. It's extremely easy on the eyes and handles like a dream. It's got all the power
I could want and more. It glides through the mountains effortlessly. The only problem I've had with it is the turn signal switch sometimes sticks. When I want to activate the signal, right or left, the switch won't budge. I took it to the dealer and the switch functioned perfectly. They told me they can't fix what isn't broken. I sprayed the switch with silicone lubricant which helped. If the signal switch ever fails completely, it will be replaced at no charge through my extented warranty. I loved my Honda and it served me well, but the Kawasaki is so much better in so many different ways. With the electronic fuel injection, there is no choke and it starts everytime even in the coldest weather. It's bigger than the Honda which makes it more comfortable when I'm riding 2 up. The 6 speed transmission eliminates that feeling that you need to shift to a higher gear at cruising speeds of 60+. The 5.3 gallon fuel tank means longer cruising time with less stops for fuel.
I looked at all the Vulcan 1700 models and like them all. I especially like the Nomad and Voyager.
The Classic LT is the same bike with a little less bling and way more affordable.
