2009 Suzuki
C50
MSRP $6,799
The Boulevard C50 has the soul of a classic cruiser combined with V-twin performance that gives you a charge every time you twist the throttle. The Boulevard C50's classic design begins with the flowing lines of its kicked-out front end and pullback handlebars, which perfectly complement its teardrop tank, stepped seat and boldly valanced rear fender. These lines, of course, show off its spacious seating position, which promises a comfortable ride hour after hour.

I traded in my Vulcan 750 to buy a 2009 Suzuki C50SE. What a difference on low speed handling. slow speed stuff is made simple on the C50, very well balanced. The C50 is not the fastest bike out there, but for me it has plenty of pep. I only ride one up and seldom do more than 100 mile days, though it seems the bike would handle it fine if I did venture out further.
I looked at some larger bikes (C90, vulcan 1600, vstar 1300) and some similar bikes (vulcan 900, vstar 950,honda 750) and I always came back to the Suzuki. The only thing I really wish was for two disc brakes. The drum in the rear is a bit of old technology that could easily be upgraded at the factory.
overall, I could not be happier with my choice (I did have to get a windshield to cut down on buffeting)

FRONT MAG HAS VERY LITTLE OPENING FOR WIND FLOW AND AS LIGHT AS I AM, FIND THE WIND PICKS UP THE FRONT AND AND GIVES THE FEELING THAT IT MAY FLOP.
