Way back in the mists of time and another century, Yamaha unveiled a concept bike at the Tokyo show. That cobby machine was a concept bike called the MT-01. Those that saw it in the flesh were very impressed, as were those that poured over the pictures in the world's motorcycle magazines. Yamaha took the positive feedback and two years later delivered the BT1100 Bulldog in Europe, a bike supposed to be as good as that concept machine
