Peru Mototaxi Junket Video
Tuesday, June 19, 2012
Our friends across the pond have a knack for finding adventure in South American climes. MotoUSA readers must add the five-part ADV Americas
ride to their reading lists list week, which chronicles one Londoner’s expedition from California to Rio. Another group of Brits, dubbed The Adventurists, filed this YouTube video, which chronicles their Mototaxi Junket in Peru.
Explanation from The Adventurists is plain enough: “The Mototaxi Junket is a simple beast, you take a really impressively bad three-wheeled Peruvian mototaxi and chuck it at the Andes Mountains and through the Amazon Jungle.”
The 3500 kilometer route, or un-route as they term it on their website (www.TheAdventurists.com
), peels through Peru – including some of its notoriously dangerous mountain routes. Mototaxi enthusiasts can still sign up for the 2012 event, which runs this September, with a 2013 event also planned. Find out more at www.theadventurists.com/the-adventures/mototaxi-junket
