Evolved from the original Harley-Davidson power cruiser, the V-Rod combines a long, low profile inspired by the drag strip and the free-revving performance of the Revolution V-Twin engine. The VRSC family offers an unmatched combination of style and performance. The 60-degree Revolution 1250cc V-Twin is liquid-cooled and features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), dual overhead cams, four-valve heads, and a five-speed transmission. The engine is rubber-mounted in a hydroformed steel perimeter frame. A shell covers the large-volume airbox located over the engine. A five-gallon fuel cell is located below the seat on all VRSC models.

The V-Rod Revolution engine, along with the Rod's hydroformed frame, is THE future of Harley-Davidson! I have owned a 2003 Anniversary V-Rod since its "build". All I do is wash it, service it on time, gas'it, and RUN IT AS HARD AS I CAN! I put around 15,000 miles on it per year. NEVER a problem. Couldn't stand the exhaust! Changed it out to a 2-into-1 T-header. I learned early on that the stickiest tires are needed. The power is awesome! This is my nineteenth motorcycle! V-ROD! When you simply have to get there: F-A-S-T!!
