If you want to feel as you are part of the bike rather than just riding the bike, this machine is for you! And, head-turning looks too.
I use to ride motocross when I was young and I finally gave the street a try. I could afford any ride I wished; but after much research, investigation, and sitting on more bikes than I care to count, I picked the Vulcan 1700 LT. Wow! Awesome! It is very comfortable to ride and it handles great. Repeat it is very comfortable to ride for hours on hours.
Now listen to me. The heat problem on the 2009 model was fixed in 2010. There is however a whine in third when riding about 32 to 35 mph in third gear, but it starts to reduce itself the more miles you ride with the bike. It is just a little noise that happens sometimes at these speeds so do not let folks talk you out of this bike. The helmet lock was a great added feature too.
I am confident this bike will go into the Top 5 Cruisers next year in 2011.
