This is a great bike, which I purchased after reading many reviews. What attracted me most were the "ergos": the 24.5" seat height, the low center of gravity, the modern frame, and the great handling. I traded in a Kingpin so I am well acquainted with Victory. The Vision has a good deal more power and you sit in the bike as opposed to on which is what gives it is great feel. The transmission is predictable Victory, a little clunky but predictable. I get a little more vibration from sundry parts from time to time than I would like and, like most twins, it is sensitive to gas--I am using unoxygenated gas and have put Mobil 1 for v-twins in. The result is generally a smooth, powerful run from 1st to 6th gear. Protection from wind and rain is first-class, and I added the lowers to add to the protection. I don't like the rear luggage on the Tour and this does not have it, though that drastically reduces carrying space. I added a luggage rack as a partial solution.
As an owner of a Gold Wing as well, this has fewer amenities in some respects but is much easier to handle and I don't worry about tipping over with the tip-over guard. I generally prefer this to the GW though the Honda would still be the better choice for cross country. If I could have only one bike, it would be the Vision.
Victory is dealing these days and you can get some great deals on Visions across the board, so it is a great time to buy.
