Harley's big news for 2007 is the Twin Cam 96 engine that offers a noticeable increase in power along with greater durability and a six-speed transmission.

The six-speed Cruise Drive transmission makes its way into all big-inch H-D V-Twins for 2007. In addition to the extra cog, it's quieter, requires less maintenance and should be more durable than the old five-speed.

The new addition to the Dyna family is the Super Glide Custom that retails for a little less than $15K depending on paint and wheel options.

The new Softail Custom takes a step back a decade or two with its chopperesque styling. As with all Softails, it is powered by the new Twin Cam 96.

The optional Smart Security System automatically locks a bike's ignition when its rider's key fob is away from the bike. It then unlocks it when the fob is in proximity.

The new Night Rod Special is easily spotted by its sinister black treatment and new exhaust system. A 240mm rear tire adds to the bad-ass factor.

The VRSCX takes cues from the NHRA dragracing team and is powered by a 1250cc version of the Revolution V-Twin. Dragracing touches include the handlebar, flyscreen and 240mm rear tire.

The Sportster series celebrates its half-century of production with this 1200cc 50th Anniversary edition. A serialized number plate indicates which of the 2000 units built you have.

The Dyna family is where we first saw the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, and it now receives the highly revamped TC96 motor. Dynas start at a reasonable $12,395.

2007 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide

The addition of 8 extra cubes in Harley's 2007 Big Twin models transforms an adequate powerplant into an impressive one.

The Electra Glide is built on the same platform as the Road King, but it adds the distinctive batwing fairing instead of the upright (and removable) clear shield on the King.

The new Night Rod Special is easily spotted by its sinister black treatment and new exhaust system.

Compared with the Road King, the Road Glide has a comfier seat and better riding position from its taller handlebar.

The Softail line, with rear shocks hidden under the engine, is beefed up with the addition of the new Twin Cam 96 motor and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission.

All the Softails will be powered by the Twin Cam 96.
