John Hopkins: "I tried to get comfortable this morning and follow as many people as possible, because to be honest I need as much help as I can get at the moment! I was well within the top-10 this morning and I managed to follow Alvaro and he showed me some lines - which was really cool. Repsol Honda's Andrea Dovizioso: "Today we struggled a lot with engine braking. This is a new engine brake that we used for the first time on Monday in Mugello after the Grand Prix, and that we have been using since. Nicky Hayden: "It was a frustrating day, really. You have two weeks off, and you work hard and do all the little things that will help you when you come back. Then to have your first day back be probably your worst day of the year is pretty frustrating. The main thing is I don’t have much grip from the rear, even on corner entry, and I’m spinning a lot on exit." - Brno practice 2011

Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo snagged the fourth-fastest time in Friday's practice at Brno behind Marco Simoncelli.

Valentino Rossi: "We had a hard time at the start of this afternoon’s session, because the hard tire, which we thought we could work well for the race, was really sliding a lot. When we put on the soft, the situation improved, also because we made some additional changes with the front that helped us improve the feeling. We hope to be able to do the race with the soft, and tomorrow we’ll try to do enough laps to verify that as well.” - Brno practice 2011

Ben Spies: "The bike is definitely going to be better over race distance than it is over one lap but we have to improve that one lap speed. We found something right at the end of the session but we just weren’t able to try it.” - Brno practice 2011

Ducati's Valentino Rossi earned sixth at Brno ahead of teammate Nicky Hayden.

Nicky Hayden: "I held on and got seventh, which isn’t fantastic. Still, the gap to the front is the closest it’s been this season, which is positive. The bike was really good in a few places, but I was slow in change of direction and couldn’t get the bike to finish the corner and was spinning the tire a lot."

Valentino Rossi: "I’d say we can be pretty pleased, as we took a step forward. I must say that Filippo and Ducati has been intelligent, because just with some small changes, we were able to get a good result, improving in both wet and dry conditions and in both qualifying and the race. Now I’m able to ride the bike better under braking and on corner entry, and I can use the front tire better."

Casey Stoner: ""We knew we could make a strong podium challenge today but we didn't really expect the race win. As soon as the race got underway I was having a good battle with Andrea but this cost me a little time and I was afraid that Jorge and Dani would stretch away from me but when I got past I found I had plenty of speed to catch up and the bike felt great." - Brno 2011

Casey Stoner earned his sixth victory of the season so far at Brno and now leads the championship by 32 points.

Honda's Andrea Dovizioso (#4) had a solid performance at Brno after passing Jorge Lorenzo (#1) for second.

Jorge Lorenzo: "There are still a lot of points to be played for so we must focus on winning the most races we can. Now we must forget this race which is probably one of the worst this season and possibly in my MotoGP career."

Yamaha teammates Jorge Lorenzo (#1)) and Ben Spies (#11) earned fourth and fifth respectively in the Czech Republic.

Marco Simoncelli: "On the last lap today I just wanted it to be over and nothing bad to happen and thankfully it all worked out. I am really delighted. I didn't make a great start and had to pass Valentino, who fought back for three corners and I have the tire marks on my leathers to prove it! It was a nice battle even though it was short. I tried to attack Dovizioso at the end but he was pushing hard and I decided to settle for the position because I knew Lorenzo was making up ground behind me.”

Super Sic grabbed his first podium result of the season in third.

Dani Pedrosa: "It hurts because we were well prepared and finally the race was quite slow compared to the pace we did in practice sessions, but we can not do anything, just think towards the next one and try to get back on top."
