Marzocchi staff tests the new electronic suspension package at the Adria racetrack in preparation for Eicma in November.
Marzocchi Tenneco has finished the developmental stage of the semiactive suspensions system, which will be presented on November, during Eicma, and which promises to be the most evolved solution on the market.
The introduction of semiactive electronic suspensions represents a Copernican revolution in the motorbike sector. If until now we have been used to systems which needed the driver’s intervention to change the suspension calibration despite the electronic management, the future leads to the employment of totally computerised solutions, able to change automatically the motorbike stability.
Marzocchi, always in the forefront of innovation processes, has developed a complete packet, including fork, shock absorber, electronic device and sensors. Last Monday, October 1st, the company made a series of meticulous tests on the Adria racetrack, stressing the solutions developed during last months.
"We are very satisfied," said Enrico Pezzi, R&D. "Tests indicated a great efficiency of the system, even in limit conditions, as those you can test on a track, where the least variation in the stability makes the difference and there is the necessity of very strict response times. This goal, together with the expertise already reached on road and during the static tests in the workshop, made us convinced more than ever before that our system is the ideal choice for a wide range of vehicles."
Few names could boast about a heart beating tradition as Marzocchi does. Founded in 1949, the company has been leading for more than 60 years in the field of projecting and producing forks and shocks. Starting from the fifties, Marzocchi began to be recognized as one of the most important suppliers for those eminent motorcycle brands as Ducati, Mondial and Benelli. The company has never stopped and has always been a step ahead his competitors, beeing leaded by such worths as passion, curiosity and pride, always aiming to the maximum quality and innovation. Starting from September 1st 2008, Marzocchi’s suspension division is part of Tenneco, a US industrial group operating globally. The competencies coming from the two companies merged up, giving birth to the Tenneco Marzocchi S.r.l.
