Sammy Miller aboard the "Mike Hailwood" RC181 Honda.
Sammy Miller is one of the world’s greatest motorcyclists competing at the highest level in almost every form of motorcycle sport – and winning at them all.
Now, Sammy is heading to Anglesey on the 21 April for one of his favourite events of the year – the Thundersprint.
Sammy said: “I really like the Thundersprint. It’s a fantastic mix of a relaxed informality and complete professionalism – just like the best ever 1960s Grands Prix.
“I will be bringing the “Mike Hailwood” RC181 Honda replica and also the Sammy Miller museum’s 1938 AJS V4 – a unique supercharged British motorcycle which was the first machine to win a Grand Prix at over 100mph.
“I have never ridden at the Anglesey circuit but it does look fantastic and I am really looking forward to letting the Honda stretch its legs on a true international quality track.”
Thundersprint organiser Frank Melling said: “It is an honour to have Sammy, and his wonderful bikes, join us again at the Thundersprint. Not only is Sam a great motorcyclist but he is also a true enthusiast for all things biking. I could spend a month listening to his stories.
“As with all our other stars, Thundersprint fans will be able to spend all day chatting to Sammy because there are no “Keep Out” or “VIP” areas.
“Sam is also the most friendly superstar you could ever hope to meet and loves meeting fans.”
