Chicken Corners

The route travels the Colorado River Canyon just below Moab, follows a spectacular part of Kane Springs Canyon, climbs the Kane Creek Anticline to Hurrah Pass, and descends to benches above the Colorado River. The trail dead-ends about 400 feet above the river across from Dead Horse Point.

Description: As you make your way to Chicken Corners you will come across several places that are breathtaking in scenery and will take you into Kane Springs Canyon and Hunter Canyon and Pass. It will bring you up Anticline Overlook and then the trail leaves the narrow canyon and widens as it takes you down the other side and leaves the cliffs and takes you to the wash at the bottom. Chicken Corners is where the Moab guides allowed passengers with weaker constitutions to walk rather than ride on the narrow trail that will eventually be too narrow even for just feet.
