Industry veteran Dan Proffer has been hired by Coliant Corp., parent company to the popular Powerlet line of powersports accessories. Proffer, who previously served as Sales Manager at Bombardier Recreational Products, Marshall Distributing and Scorpion Sports, takes over the newly created role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing and will oversee all of Powerlet's marketing, training, branding and sales-related efforts. Powerlet designs, produces and sells innovative weather-resistant electrical power outlets, plugs, wiring, mounting brackets and storage bag electrification kits. Most recently Powerlet introduced a high-end line of electrically heated apparel for the powersports market.

"Dan has extensive sales and marketing experience in powersports industry," says Adam Bonislawski, COO of Coliant Corporation. "His passion for customer service, knowledge and experience in the market, combined with the fact, like all of us, Dan is an avid rider, makes him a perfect fit to help us develop and grow our business."

Proffer's specific responsibilities will include oversight of domestic and international sales, marketing, new business, dealer development and improving social network marketing. Proffer has an extensive background in the powersports arena, having started in a family multi-franchise retail group for 15 year prior to entering the wholesale side of the business. Additionally, Dan has worked with Oakley, BRP, Aprilia USA, Marshall Distributing and Scorpion.

"I am excited and honored that the team at Powerlet have the confidence in me to move this exciting and outstanding product line into dealer showrooms," says Proffer. "Powerlet has been flying under the radar for about eight years developing exclusive patents, trademarks, and perfecting their 'Wire connections for Life' systems. Dealers will be excited to be able to stock this great product, and consumers can finally find an easy solution to their power needs," concludes Proffer.
