Sunny weather and 80-degree days have brought out tons of bikers to the 2012 Lone Star Rally. It's been two years since we've been here, but the way the area has rebounded and transformed itself since our last visit is impressive. Cruising down the Seawall, the green choppy waves of the Gulf of Mexico to our right, a stream of people milling down vendors' row past Eddie Trotta and Azzkkr Custom Cycles to our left was a unique experience we didn't get last time we were here. Having the backdrop of tall cumulus clouds over the water in the distance as the crowd filled the park at the Badlands Fm Stage for Brett Michaels free concert was the piece de resistance to the area's resurgence.
The Strand is already packed and the flow of people coming into town for today's party has been non-stop. No time for a full report now, but until then here's a few photos for you to enjoy from our first day at the Lone Star Rally 2012.
