The 7th annual Brittney Ride for St Jude was a great success despite the cold weather. We were a little worried that we might get rained on, but there were only a couple of drops. We registered somewhere around 240 riders for the 50-mile

Close to 240 riders came together to show their support for Brittney and her family at the seventh annual benefit ride.
poker run through the Rogue Valley. Poker hands cost $20 and riders could play as many as they liked for a chance at $500, $1000, or a $25,000
Harley-Davidson. This year our top poker hand walked away with a cool grand - not bad for a $20 poker hand! The ride ended at Touvelle Lodge in Central Point, Oregon, where there were two live bands, silent and live auctions, tri-tip BBQ, a raffle, 50/50 drawings and of course, ice cold beer.
The ride was started by Dayle Mallory-Bell, Brittney’s mother. Brittney was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor when she was only 18 years old, and passed away four short months after she was diagnosed. Her family and friends started the ride seven years ago, and together we have raised over $150,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are saving the lives of children, one poker run at a time. Next year’s ride is scheduled to be a three-day event from October 7-9, 2011, and will be hosted by Seven Feathers Casino and Resort in Canyonville, Oregon. So mark it on your calendars and if you have any other questions please feel free to visit the website at
