The normally isolated worlds of motocross and Hollywood recently converged just north of the star-studded city for a day of off-road riding fun at Piru Motorcross Park, in Piru, California. The occasion which brought the two groups together was a meet and greet with two of the young actors from the upcoming motocross-inspired drama titled,
Free Style.

Corbin Bleu (center) plays amateur racer Cale Bryant in the upcoming motocross inspired drama titled: Free Style.
The movie, which debuts in theaters nationwide in February, tells the story of a teenage motocross racer (played by 19-year-old Corbin Bleu) who is pursuing his passion for off-road racing by attempting to win an amateur national championship. The film depicts his personal conflict between his love of racing and his need to support his single working mom (played by Penelope Ann Miller) and young sister (played by Madison Pettis).
In the film, Bleu rides a
Kawasaki KX250F dirtbike, and despite never having ridden off-road before, he caught on quick and showed off some of his skills on Piru’s well-built mini-track.
The movie was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, and used extensive riding footage shot on location. 2008 AMA Motocross champion Grant Langston, adds to the films street credentials, by playing the professional racing champion whom both Bleu and his principle onscreen adversary look up to.

Bleu leads a couple young fans around the mini-track at Piru Motocross Park.
At the track, Kawasaki unloaded a fleet of KLX110 dirt bikes for both kids and adults to get a little dirty on. Piru stepped in by building a challenging, yet safe mini-track that let both novices and experts have a bit of fun. Full riding gear from head-to-toe was also provided for those who didn’t have any, and the folks at Kawi provided riding instruction for kids between the ages of six and sixteen.
