Triumph Motorcycles

Triumph motorcycles has survived to world wars and a resurrection with the British motorcycle manufacturer producing sportbikes, street bikes and cruisers.

Triumph dates back to 1885 when 20-year-old Sigfried Bettman began importing bicycles from Germany to Coventry, England. Bettman changed the name to ‘The Triumph Cycle Company’ in 1886 because he thought the word Triumph was more easily understandable in most languages. Flash forward more than a century and Triumph produces sportbikes and street bikes like the Daytona and Speed Triple, which utilize the marque's Inline-Three engine. Triumph also takes advantage of its history in the modern classic lineup, with bikes like the Bonneville and Thruxton sourcing Twins. Triumph takes on H-D market share with the release of its new Thunderbird. History of Triumph Motorcycles
