2013 Honda CBR600RR First Ride
We hit up Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles for the street test.
The 2013 CBR600RR features all-new bodywork styling.
We were also fortunate enough to get our hands on the ABS model for some laps around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.
Available for the first time on the CBR600RR is a Repsol livery.
Because the CBR isn't equipped with a slipper clutch we were able to have some fun sliding around into corners at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.
The ABS model is available in the red colorway only.
New for 2013 are the 12 spoke wheels we see on the CBR1000RR and Showa Big Piston Forks.
We find that the Big Piston Fork is a huge improvement over last year's fork, especially when pushing mid-corner.
The ram-air system has been improved for 2013 giving the machine a slight gain in performance.
The 2013 CBR600RR is a great machine for someone who uses the same motorcycle for both the street and the track.
The 2013 CBR600RR is available in a tri-color, Repsol Edition, and solid Red which can also be purchased as an ABS model.
Overall we are pleased with what Honda has done to their already existing CBR600RR.
Did we mention we like to slide?
