The Aprilia HSBK team debuted its 2015 MotoAmerica racing squad at the season opener at Circuit of the Americas, with riders Devon McDonough and Dustin Dominguez battling in the Superstock 1000 class. Aprilia compiled footage of the first event to highlight the team's efforts, which saw Dominguez finish second in his class in Race 1 and 2, and McDonough take a pair of fifth-place results.

Because there was plenty of it - from tracks with guardrails and no run-off to fairly primitive leathers and helmets.

On March 23, 2015 Dane Westby lost his life after a streetbike accident in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Westby had recently completed MotoAmerica/Dunlop tire testing at Circuit of the Americas, where he placed fastest among Superstock 1000 riders. He finished second-place in the 2012 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Championship and was the first three-time winner in the SportBike class in 2014. He had numerous WERA racing championships to his credit prior to his career in AMA Pro Racing as well.

On March 20, 2015, Dane Westby posted the fastest Superstock 1000 time during the second day of MotoAmerica/Dunlop tire testing at Circuit of the Americas. Three days later Westby lost his life in a streetbike crash in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Yamalube/Westby Racing has released the video below with footage of Westby during the test, paying tribute to the life that was lost too soon.
