The Motomarathon Association finishes its third season with the Northern California Motomarathon, a four-day, long-distance motorcycle ride set for October 13-16 starting and ending in Ft. Bragg, with two days looping out of Eureka.
“Our endurance motorcycling format has caught on, matured, and with the Northern California Motomarathon, continues to migrate our members to the best sport-touring roads in the nation,” said Motomarathon Association Founder John Metzger. “After the Southern California Motomarathon last year, and two exploratory expeditions to points north in the last few months, our staff of trained route scientists have researched the NoCal back-roads to deliver the core Motomarathon experience – a four-day vacation featuring twisty roads, beautiful scenery and the camaraderie of the ride.”
Routes are kept secret until the night before each day’s ride, and participants must complete a sequence of self-recorded check-points using digital cameras over the four days, averaging approximately 200 miles per day. Day One routes will be handed out to participants at the Holiday Inn Express, 250 Hwy. 20, Ft. Bragg 95437, on Wednesday, October 12th at 8:00 p.m.
