With an eclectic mix of folk, country and rock music, the Bacon Brothers tell a story with their music through self-expression and humor. The band is set to perform for hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts on Saturday, May 5, 7:30 p.m., at the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pa.

“We are thrilled to have the Bacon Brothers perform at the 25th anniversary of Ride for Life," said Brian Bentley, dealer principal of Brian’s Harley-Davidson and head of the Ride for Life steering committee. "Kevin and Michael Bacon's hometown roots are in this area. These Philly boys are going to give Ride for Life attendees a show to remember."

A special finale moment is planned to wrap up the concert onstage with the Bacon Brothers and former MDA National Goodwill Ambassador, 13-year-old Abbey Umali. Umali will be on-site at Ride for Life XXV, representing MDA families for a fourth consecutive year. She has Charcot-Marie Tooth disease. More details on the finale moment are expected to be released closer to the event date.

If you are participating in The Ride for Life event, do NOT miss this special concert by The Bacon Brothers! They are A-mazing!!! Together for 15 years, they have produced seven CDs and a live DVD. Their music is a little rock, a little country, a little pop, a little soul....you get the idea! They write all of their own material and are backed by an awesome group of musicians. You will be blown away by their talent! Check them out at www.baconbros.com and on Facebook as "The Bacon Brothers". You can also check out the many videos of live concerts on YouTube to get an idea of what a great time is in store for you!

I know there will be lots of you thinking another actor start singing. But it is not like they started just yet. This band is performing since lots of years, and actually making good music. Over the years they supported a lot of good causes, with their music. In first people go see the band because of Kevin, but in the end they realise it is a good band with good musicians.I feel sorry i am not able to go see them( i live in Europe), but you can go, so please do it, you won't regret it. If you need more info, check their website, baconbros.com

Any doubts about an actor's ability to lead a band will be banished the first time you hear the Bacon Brothers! Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael lead a first-rate outfit that plays their own roots-rock Americana. They call their music "FOROSOCO," an amalgam of folk, rock, soul, and country. But make no mistake about it, this ain't no staid tribute band--they rock the house with their original tunes (and a couple of great covers thrown in just for the heck of it). And these guys have range: from the hot guitar licks of "Go My Way (The iPod Song)" to the mellow but wry look at life in Tinseltown, "Grey-Green Eyes"; from the cool-your-jets change-up of "Kikko's Song" to the raucous "New Year's Day," you will be MOVIN'! (And hummin', and soon enough, singin' along!) The Bros themselves are very down-to-earth, despite Kevin's prolific career on stage and in movies, and Michael's "daytime" gig as an Emmy-winning composer for television and film. They know who they are and where they came from (Center-City Philly). They're no prima donnas--they're there to groove!. And when they're done, you'll want more! You couldn't have a better bunch of guys to play, and they're playing just for the Ride for Life participants! If you sign up for the ride, you will be richly rewarded.
