Sugarland to Play Sturgis at Buffalo Chip

Thursday, January 19, 2012
Sturgis 2012 might seem like a long ways away, but it’s never too early to start dreamin’, right? Just found out that my favorite place to party in Sturgis, the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, announced Sugarland will be performing at the Chip Friday, Aug. 12. My sister saw them not too long ago and said the band puts on a great show. Knowing the Chip, this is only a sign of things to come. For 30 years, Woody and crew have been making Sturgis one of the premier music festivals of the summer, with big name acts nine days straight. This year will be no exception. Sugarland at the Chip – mark it on your calendars!

Here’s the official announcement courtesy of the Legendary Buffalo Chip.

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip announces the hot country-music duo, Sugarland, will be performing at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip during the 2012 Sturgis rally. Sugarland will rock the Chip’s stage, one night only, in their long awaited return to the Buffalo Chip Campground. Passes are available now at www.buffalochip.com .

The Grammy Award-winning group, Sugarland, jumped onto the music scene in 2004 with their hit song “Baby Girl.” Since their debut, they have sold over 8 million albums. Sugarland’s numerous hits over the years, including “Just Might“, “Already Gone”, “All I Want To Do”, “Stay”, and “Something More,” transcend age, gender, and genre to find something special for everyone. Songs from their most recent album, “The Incredible Machine” will be rocking the Chip campers, along with chart-toppers like “Stuck Like Glue,” “Wide Open” and “Stand Up.”
Sugarland joins the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s growing 2012 concert lineup that includes southern-rock legend Lynyrd Skynyrd. As always the Sturgis Buffalo Chip will feature the biggest names in music rocking out for nine straight days in August during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

“We are very excited to have Sugarland back,” said Rod Woodruff, owner of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “The crowd loves Sugarland! They put on an unforgettable show and provide a welcomed blend of genres that will enhance the party for everyone.”

Come out and listen to the soaring voice of Jennifer Nettles and the pulsating twang of Kristian Bush’s guitar at the Best Party Anywhere. Bikers and music fans will love it. There’s no better place for country music than under the great western sky and the stage of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Legendary Music, Legendary Times.
