Icon Premier The Raiden Files Portland to Dakar
Thursday, September 20, 2012
Tonight our friends at Icon Motosports
are holding a world premier for its short film called “The Raiden Files: Portland to Dakar – An Extreme Motorcycling Movie” at the Clinton Theater in Portland, Oregon. From spitting roost on sand dunes to slapping on studded tires for blasts over snow-packed trails, the film is sure to be high energy from start to finish. The stars of the show are two customized 2011 Triumph Tiger 800 XC adventure-tourers Icon used in its Fall 2012 campaign. It also displays the ruggedness of their all-weather gear like the Patrol Raiden Jacket
. All are welcome and it’s free to attend. There will be two showings, one at 7 p.m and the other at 8. The Clinton Street Theatre is located at 2522 Southeast Clinton Street, Portland, OR 97202.
Here’s what Icon had to say about it on their Limiter
The most vicious riding conditions and terrain are necessary when building premiere all element gear. Typically this process isn’t documented and is left to the imagination but ‘The Raiden Files – Portland to Dakar’ captures Icon’s rigorous testing process in 30 minutes of HD extreme motorcycle glory. Two riders, Two Triumph Tigers and a handful of uncanny bike modifications kept riders and film crews busy for months. Now the journey ends at the Icon Film Festival in Portland Oregon with two screenings – 7 p.m and 8 p.m. at the Clinton Street Theater. We’ll start with the original ‘Drift’ video, followed by ‘Motorcycle V Car Drift Battle’, and wrap things up with our new 30 minute film.
