All you SoCal motorcyclists out there, listen up. If you’re itching to ride your bike this weekend and looking for something to do, get over to Glendale Harley-Davidson
for the 30th Annual Love Ride
. Glendale H-D owner Oliver Shokouh has been putting on the annual fundraiser for 30 years now, raising millions of dollars for beneficiaries ranging from the Muscular Dystrophy Association to the Special Olympics to Autism Speaks. This year funds raised from the charitable event will benefit the USO.
The party starts Sunday morning, October 20, at Glendale H-D, with a host of celebrity guest appearances and live musical performances. Jay Leno once again will be serving as Grand Marshal, leading the procession out of Glendale to Castaic Lake along with Willie G. Davidson, Robert Patrick and Lorenzo Lamas. Once at Castaic, the party kicks into gear with a full slate of musical entertainment. The lineup includes The Forest Rangers with Katey Sagal, Jackson Browne, jackshit, the American Hitmen, and Chevy Metal, a rock cover band that includes David Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. A Peter Fonda Ride-In Bike Show will be held with the winner receiving a tour of Jay Leno’s garage. Judging the event are renowned custom buidlers Roland Sands, Russell Mitchell, and Chica. The Victor McLaglen Motor Corps will be performing their incredible motorcycle stunt show, and there will be a variety of vendors, food, and a beer garden on hand as well.
The price of admission is $60. It includes free parking and an entry into the drawing for a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King. Castaic Lake is the perfect backdrop for a big biker party. If you can, be sure to hit up Glendale H-D this weekend for the 30th annual Love Ride
and support a good cause while you’re at it.
