Steven Tyler gives Hot Bike Editor Eric Ellis beard a good tug.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will be serving as the honorary 'Godfather' to the "Custom Area' of the 2013 EICMA expo. Tyler is part owner of Dirico Motorcycles and has lent his eye for design to the motorcycle's construction.

EICMA, the huge Italian motorcycle expo that annually serves as a springboard for manufacturer’s to launch new models, has a special guest “Godfather” for its “Custom” section this year. Aerosmith frontman and avid motorcyclist Steven Tyler will have the honorary duties of being the “Godfather” of EICMA Custom 2013. Tyler will “baptize the special Custom Area” on November 5th. We’ve also heard that he might be doing a little gig at the private Metzeler party in Milan, but that’s just speculation.

Tyler, along with brother-in-law Mark Dirico and cousin Stephen Talarico, are part owners of Dirico Motorcycles, a small boutique manufacturer out of the American Northeast. Dirico is introducing its line of cruiser-style motorcycles to the European market at the 2013 EICMA show in addition to serving as “Godfather” of the fledgling custom area.

“The singer and rider, who is the perfect symbol of the close connections and cultural overlaps between music and the motorbike world, will accompany Dirico Motorcycles USA who are making their debut on the European scene. For their first appearance in the old continent, they chose to accord their trust exclusively to EICMA,” declares the EICMA website.

Rock & roll and motorcycles in Milan. Sounds like a party to me! Check back the first week of November for plenty more news coming out of Italy as manufacturers reveal the latest motorcycles on the market.
