The Lucky Seven Motorcycle Club announces its third annual Ride for Autism raised over $13,000 for the Center for Autism, a nonprofit autism treatment and evaluation center in Philadelphia. The event was held on Saturday, April 25 and over 300 hundred motorcycles traveled from Wissahickon High School in Ambler to McFadden’s at Citizens Bank Park.

“The Ride for Autism was a tremendous success, and we were able to raise more for the Center for Autism than ever before,” said Steve Love, president of the Ambler-based Lucky Seven Motorcycle Club. “It’s important that we call attention to an organization helping children and families impacted by autism. Additionally, by honoring a person with the disorder, we can bring a face to what the Ride is all about.”

Brian Propp, former Philadelphia Flyer, presented Alex Engheta, a 19-year-old autistic resident of Berwyn, with the Ride for Autism Award. Engheta received the award for his accomplishments as a member of the Fearless Flyers Special Hockey Team.
