2010 Cruiser Motorcycle Wish List
Wednesday, December 16, 2009

High on my cruiser motorcycles Christmas wish list is the 2010 Triumph Rocket III Roadster. How about it Santa?

If I can't have a Roadster, how about a 2010 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide with the Spiced Rum paint then?
All I want for Christmas is a Triumph Rocket III, a Triumph Rocket III, a
Triumph Rocket III. Roadster, that is. Have you seen that thing? It’s a 2297cc beast! How I long to give the throttle a good twist and unleash the claimed 163 lb-ft of torque. Don’t know how Santa’s going to get the eight-foot long, 807 pound bike down the chimney, but I’ll be looking under the tree come Christmas morn. And even if Santa doesn’t come through, hopefully I’ll get the nod come test time.
If not, there’s room in my garage for a
2010 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide. I’m a fan of the new chassis in H-D’s touring bikes, and love the power the Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110 puts out. I’ll take mine in Spiced Rum with Gold Leaf Graphics, please. (I don’t want much, do I?)
Maybe the big jolly guy in the red suit will bring me a
2010 Indian Chief Bomber. Something about a bike with a vintage WWII fighter airplane-style pin-up girl on its tank that speaks to me. The blacked-out, 2-into-1 stainless steel pipe running down the right side looks sharp, too. Think I like it in the Warrior Silver Smoke color combo best.
If that doesn’t work for ya, Big Guy, then I wouldn’t mind riding around on a
2010 Stratoliner Deluxe. The Strato gets all dolled up with a fork-mounted fairing and hard saddlebags. And did I mention how much I like that 1854cc powerplant? I could see a run to Sturgis on the Strato Deluxe.
Heck, I’d be happy with the 750cc
Honda Shadow Phantom. Blacked-out, chopped fenders, and EFI on a mid-sized

2010 Suzuki M50
cruiser with Honda reliability – sounds like a sweet bike to me. So does Suzuki’s mid-sized counterpart, the
2010 Boulevard M50. We could line ‘em up and let ‘er rip down the strip. The new M50 has the styling cues of its big brothers, the M109 and the M90, and hopefully its engine has some of the same moxie.
Maybe I’ll get lucky and Santa will bring me a
2010 Victory Cross Country. I love the fresh styling of the bike, from its angular, aerodynamic front fairing to its foil-shaped highway bars. It handles smoothly and has the biggest bags around. I could see me loading it up, setting it on cruise control and charting a course for Daytona. Bike Week or Bust, baby!
Well, I know even Santa has had to cut back this year, so I’ll be realistic. Maybe I won’t get a shiny new V-Twin under the tree this year, but hopefully I’ll get a chance to ride and review all of the bikes above. Some of them I already have. But look for Motorcycle USA to post feature articles in 2010 on the one’s I mentioned that we haven’t put a review up on yet. Other cruisers on our 2010 wish list include the 2010 V Star 1300 Tourer, any of the three bikes in the Honda 1300 Custom Line, and hopefully Harley-Davidson’s Fat Boy Lo.
If all else fails, maybe I’ll just go out and buy the inflatable Santa on a motorcycle I’ve seen around town. Happy Holidays all!
