Cook and they will come—and they did! Motorcyclists filled their bellies with roasted corn this rally season and helped to fill other people’s bellies too. While chowing down on more than 46,000 ears of free corn, thanks to number one motorcycle insurer Progressive, motorcyclists dug deep into their wallets and provided meals for nearly 170,000 needy children and their families.
The program, called “Corn for Kids,” benefits local Feeding America food banks to help feed needy children and their families and other charities such as Kids & Chrome in Sturgis, S.D.
“Times are tough and every little bit helps especially as we head into the holidays,” said Marcy Gray, a motorcycle product manager at Progressive. “We know motorcyclists are a charitable bunch and were happy to provide an outlet for them to give back and help their local communities with the Corn for Kids program.”
