I only was able to spend a few hours at the Minneapolis International Motorcycle Show this year, but the show was considerably better than last year's.
All the Japanese manufacturers had great camps.
Ducati seemed to be very busy with their line up of wonderful models; Monsters, Hypermotards, Streetfighter, 1198s, and the new Multistrada.
The helmet manufacturers seemed to be busy as well, since the helmet law in Minnesota will probably be arriving soon.
I didn't spend a lot of time checking out cruisers, since my kids and I are mostly off roaders and sportbike riders, but the Victorys were looking mighty fine with their on-floor lineup. Heads up
Harley-Davidson,
Victory is coming on strong and are very appealing. Yet Star also still has a very strong presence.
Triumph was there with the new Thunderbird and now I know what all the buzz is about... What a beautiful machine!
There were also many clubs, custom builders, apparel vendors, and information givers on hand. We also enjoyed the Ducati stunt rider and the dancers on the TapouT stage.
It was very nice to see the new Honda VFR 1200 and the very appealing Suzuki RMX450Z. The best part of this year's show is seeing how the motorcycle industry has stepped up its game in tough economic times to give its customers something to set new goals for with their next purchases.
Thanks to the IMS for a better show than last year's!
P.S. Manufacturers, please bring more naked models to the US. The times are calling for them.
