2010 Honda Fury Project Bike Update
Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Check out the new Honda Fury fenders from Low and Mean. I'm pulling the tank and headlight off the bike today and then its off for paint courtesy of Cutting Edge Illusions.
I’ll bet since you haven’t heard anything about our
2010 Honda Fury Project Bike in ages that you thought the project was dead. Not so, amigos, not so. We’ve just been playing the waiting game, waiting for parts to come in and waiting for a little extra time in our crazy schedule to work on it. We’ve also been in the process of moving shop and our new garage is finally taking shape, so it’s about time to get wrenching once again.
First off, a big shout-out to my buddy Chris Hagest at
Low and Mean. Chris came through big time with some styling new fenders for our Fury Project Bike. They’re edgier than the stock fenders and will definitely add a custom touch to the motorcycle. He also hooked us up with a new rear shock spring that drops the rear fender so that there isn’t such an unsightly gap between the fender and tire. With a bitching new rear fender to show off, we’re also ditching the side-mounted rear turn signals for a combo run/turn/brake LED strip that mounts neatly just under the lip of the back fender. We also plan on ditching the rear-mounted license plate holder for a side-mount job by
Accutronix.
Accutronix has also come through with a set of its Diamond ‘Night Series’ foot controls. These controls look sharp and will complement the bike’s look well. Some ‘Night Series’ passenger pegs and handlebar grips are also said to be coming our way. Two more pieces to the puzzle that Accutronix is going to help out with are some Gothic fork nut covers and a throttle body cover that will wrap nicely around our Roger Goldammer air filter and hide all the untidy wiring.
We’ve also got a
Grip Ace digital motorcycle switch system waiting to be mounted as well. It’s going to really clean up the look of the bars by hiding all the switches (starter, high beams, turn signals, hazard lights and horn) in the grip under the rider’s fingers. Cool stuff.
AFT Customs has come through with a a great looking four-inch riser for some new handlebars – problem is, we’re waiting to hear word back from Roland Sands to see if he’s going to come through with some bars. How about it Roland? Your bars would look great on our bike. How about hookin’ a brother up?
Today I’m heading to the garage to pull off the tank, headlight, and some of the covers so that we can ship it off along with the fenders to get some custom paint done by the talented guys up at
Cutting Edge Illusions. Can’t wait to see what they help us come up with. So there’s plenty more coming people, so keep an eye out for the next installment of our 2010 Honda Fury Project Bike.
