Motley Crue to Rock the Buffalo Chip at Sturgis

Tuesday, April 13, 2010
Motley Crue to rock the Buffalo Chip.
The Crue is coming to the Chip. Legendary rock & rollers Motley Crue will play their only scheduled US summer concert at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground during this year's Sturgis rally.
Platinum-selling and world-renowned glam metal band, Mötley Crüe, will be joining an impressive and extensive list of artists to perform at the Legendary Buffalo Chip during Sturgis Rally Week 2010. The hardcore rockers, scheduled to perform on Wednesday, August 11 will be playing their only scheduled U.S. Summer Concert on the grounds of the Legendary Buffalo Chip.

Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee plan to conclude a line of appearances in Great Britain, Sweden and Finland’s Sonisphere Festival on Aug. 8. They will then be joining thousands of bikers at the best party anywhere, the Legendary Buffalo Chip.

The L.A. party band widely known as the world’s most notorious purveyors of hard rock songs and melodic power ballads has come to embody the sex, drugs and rock & roll lifestyle synonymous with the rock music industry. Mötley Crüe boasts in their band biography that “no band has consumed as many drugs and downed as much booze without dying as L.A.’s Mötley Crüe.”

Their mixture of heavy metal and glam rock stylings produced several best-selling albums during the 80s. The band’s impressive list of hits includes: “Shout at the Devil”, “Too Fast for Love”, “Ten Seconds to Love”, “Too Young to Fall In Love”, “Looks That Kill”, “Live Wire”, “Girls, Girls, Girls”, “Wild Side”, “Don’t Go Away Mad”, “Home Sweet Home”, “Dr Feelgood”, “Kickstart My Heart” and “Without You."

The Los Angeles-based band was formed in 1981and have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide with more than 25 million in the U.S. Their balls-to-the-wall sound is matched only by their outrageous personalities. Known just as much for the controversies that surround them as they are for their chart-busting list of successful recordings, Mötley Crüe’s hedonistic image combined with their unparalleled talent makes them true rock & roll megastars. From the screaming guitars of “Kick Start my Heart” to the fierce sound of the hog that opens up “Girls, Girls, Girls”- you won’t want to miss this opportunity to party with the Crüe.

“They are rock royalty,” said Rod Woodruff, owner of the Buffalo Chip. “They’ve lived through unbelievable battles and yet continue to deliver first class rock, delivered with virtuoso quality musicianship.”

Mötley Crüe joins Kid Rock, ZZ Top, Jason Aldean, Tesla, The Doobie Brothers, Dave Mason, Orianthi, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, The Guess Who and Williams & Ree for the Buffalo Chip’s annual party during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Woodruff said additional announcements are forthcoming.

Did anyone else see Hot Tub Time machine? The best part was how Lou the loser started Motley Lue and replaced Vince Neil. Good stuff from an otherwise lame flick. See you losers at Buffalo Chip!
