Monday, May 3, 2010

The Legendary Buffalo Chip continues its philanthropic efforts in its recent collaboration with Interstate Battery System of American as the two help raise funds for Black Hills Children's Home and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.
The undisputed epicenter of Sturgis Rally Week, the Legendary Buffalo Chip is not only the number one source of high-octane revelry it is also recognized for its world-class philanthropy. During the renowned seven-day salute to bikers the Legendary Buffalo Chip affords visitors an array of entertainment, art, vendors, food and amenities but it also provides rally-goers an assortment of opportunities to help those who are less fortunate.

This year the Legendary Buffalo Chip in conjunction with Interstate Battery System of America has set up a program to raise charitable contributions to benefit the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame as well as the Black Hills Children's Home. Interstate Batteries and the Legendary Buffalo Chip are giving you the power to raise funds by simply purchasing online any of 20 different commonly used batteries. Once purchased 40% of the retail price paid will be sent directly to the charities. Accordingly, each charity will receive a monthly check in the amount of 20% of total purchases made.

Simply visit www.buffalochip.com and click on the link or go directly to the Interstate Batteries website. Enter the code 'chippower' and your purchase will reflect that the batteries were ordered pursuant to this agreement. Purchased batteries will then be shipped to the customer free of shipping and handling charges. Keep in mind that the correct code needs to be entered and the 'Shop Now' button pushed in order for the contributions to be made.

Continuing in its rich humanitarian tradition, the Legendary Buffalo Chip raised a record-breaking $61,600 during Rally Week 2009 by means of the Second Annual Legends Ride. The monies raised also went to benefit the The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and the Black Hills Children's Home which offers a safe haven for children ages 4-13, many of whom are victims of severe abuse and neglect.

"We pride ourselves in not only providing bikers with the true Sturgis experience but also in providing true means for those less fortunate," explains Rod Woodruff, President of the Legendary Buffalo Chip. "We are ecstatic about partnering up with Interstate Batteries to raise money for Black Hills charities and this is merely one aspect of an altruistically-minded Sturgis Rally Week 2010. We're here to show the world that bikers are a very generous and bighearted bunch."
