The ladies of the Diamond Posse are embarking on an honorable ride from San Antonio to Milwaukee as they attempt to raise awareness and funds for American Veterans.
Green Bay is just beginning to thaw out but in San Antonio, the mercury has already made its yearly summit. It is the second week of May, which can only mean one thing: the
Diamond Posse ride is finally here.
Five female motorcyclists and a film crew have congregated from all over the country for this event. Almost a year of planning went into the Diamond Posse ride, but their mission is surprisingly simple: to use their passion for motorcycling to raise awareness and funds for America’s veterans. Armed with a great cause and a smile, the Diamond Posse is riding through the country like a tornado of pink leather and blonde hair flapping in the wind.
Their first night was spent in a hotel overlooking the Alamo, a fitting location for their first night considering The Diamond Posse is fighting to raise awareness for America’s all-too-often-forgotten veterans. The women will be riding from San Antonio to Green Bay, stopping at VA Hospitals and Harley dealerships raising awareness for veterans and money for the
Intrepid Fallen Hero’s Fund.
They spent Saturday at Cowboy’s Alamo City
Harley-Davidson. A few hundred people, armed with leather and sunscreened faces, confronted the Texas heat to show the Diamond Posse support. Apart from their huge selection of bikes and apparel, Cowboy’s Alamo City Harley-Davidson showed the Diamond Posse a good time with a live band, bikini car wash, and juicy burgers.

The Diamond Posse made a stop at the VA North Texas Health Center where they were joined by over 30 members of the Panther Creek H.O.G. Chapter to spend the afternoon and share stories with vets at the facility.
On Sunday, the Diamond Posse rolled into the VA North Texas Health Center. A few dozen veterans had lined up—some in wheelchairs, some on foot—to greet the ladies. While the Diamond Posse was meeting with the veterans, a throaty rumbling was heard in the distance. As the noise grew louder, the source of the noise became apparent: over 30 riders from the Panther Creek H.O.G. Chapter rode in to join the Diamond Posse’s gathering with the veterans. Everyone—patients and nurses alike—gawked in surprise at the large gathering of riders that had just appeared to show support for the veterans. After the astonishment had worn off, the veterans returned to telling their stories. In the afternoon heat, the stories ranged from horrific accounts on the grounds of Khe Sanh to when the next VA-sponsored fishing trip would be.
From Dallas, the Diamond Posse will ride north to Green Bay for the LZ Lambeau Vietnam Veteran’s gathering. The event is going to officially (and finally) welcome home Vietnam Veterans.
