V-Twin Alarm Clock Bike Week Style

Wednesday, March 04, 2009
Motorcycle USA s Bryan Harley coming out of the Saints Sinners Pub at Bruce Rossmeyer s Harley-Davidson. Be he saint or sinner
Saints & Sinners - what an appropriate name. I think the guy hiding his face behind me must belong in the Sinner category.
Ahh, gotta love Bike Week. After listening to the yahoos next to me party on the balcony of the hotel until three in the morning, I no sooner got to sleep then my alarm clock goes off. No, it wasn't the one next to my bed. It was the guys downstairs that were revving up their bikes at six in the morning. I know their bikes may have been a little cold after last night, but come on. Vroom-Vroom-Vroom - I almost think he was doing it deliberately. Not to mention the symphony of bells and whistles from the motorcycle alarms that started to go off. I didn't know the sound of a V-Twin could carry six stories and be heard so clearly through the walls of my room.

I tried to go back to sleep, but my hotel is right across from the Ihop. And I'm finding out that bikers love their pancakes. I've heard large groups of them pulling into the International House of Pancakes since the crack of dawn. Oh well, it's Bike Week. Who needs sleep anyways.

Today we're going to hit up the Ocean Center and check out the Harley-Davidson Ride-In Show. Tonight, Cody and Vinnie from V Force Customs are having a gig at the hotel I'm staying at. Thought about hitting up the Cabbage Patch, too, but it might be better action on Saturday when it's supposed to be warmer. We'll just go with the flow and see where it takes us. Climb On, there's no rest for the weary, it's Bike Week baby!
