Strokers Dallas New TV Show - Ma's Roadhouse

Mas Roadhouse Strokers Dallas
Ma's Roadhouse, shot on-scene at custom bike builder Rick Fairless' Strokers Dallas and featuring his fiesty 71-year-old mother, debuts Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. on truTV.
Rick Fairless is a colorful character. Anybody who has seen his psychedelic custom motorcycle called Pam knows that. Seems like he’s got a mom whose personality is just as colorful. If not, why else would truTV give her a TV program?

Ma’s Roadhouse debuts Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. The setting is Strokers Dallas, Fairless’ combination biker bar, tattoo parlor and motorcycle shop. Ma, aka Rick’s feisty 71-year-old mother who talks like a sailor, is the main character. The shenanigans of running “the baddest biker bar in Texas” will provide the drama. Sure, a similar formula has already been used filming at Michael Ballard’s Full Throttle Saloon. But Ballard didn’t have Ma. (But he does have Angie!)

Rick is talented builder and an overall good guy. Show him some love next week and tune in to truTV Wednesday night. The show should be good for a laugh or two and if you’ve never been to Rick’s Stroker’s empire in Dallas, maybe watching the action there will give you incentive enough to get your a*s on over there. Below is the press release with more details about the new motorcycle-related TV show.

Folks in Dallas looking for some Texas-sized fun head over to the world-famous Strokers empire, a combination bar, motorcycle shop and tattoo parlor, owned and operated by Rick Fairless, with his 71-year-old mother, affectionately known as Ma, serving as the bar manager. truTV is about to
Rick Fairless Pam
Rick Fairless built Pam for S&S Cycle's 50th anniversary celebration. The bike's oil and gas tanks are both built into the frame and substitutes screen in place of sheet metal in much of its design.
take viewers behind the scenes at Strokers in the all-new series Ma’s Roadhouse, set to premiere with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Sept.15, at 9 and 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Rick is a long-haired, tie-dye-wearing former paint salesman who quit his job of 20 years to open a motorcycle shop. Next door, he later opened the Strokers Ice House, a bar and grill that has since become one of the South’s premier biker hangouts. Today, people come from miles around to enjoy a burger and a cold beer while they check out the curves on the bikes in Rick’s showroom as well as on Strokers’ bikini girls.

Rick owns Strokers, while Ma, a chain-smoking, hard-drinking woman who never hesitates to speak her mind in her distinct gravelly voice, serves as the bar manager. They are joined by Susan, Rick’s wife and Strokers’ office manager; Lena, Rick’ daughter, who recently joined the staff at Strokers; Meghan, the hard-working marketing and events coordinator; and Debbie, who handles Strokers’ “bikini babes.”

Each episode of Ma’s Roadhouse focuses on the often-wild dynamic as Rick tries to keep business booming and his difficult-to-please mother happy. The result is a Texas-sized show packed with more spice than a pot of chili.

Ma’s Roadhouse follows on the heels of truTV’s tremendous success with the South Dakota-set biker bar series Full Throttle Saloon. Ma’s Roadhouse comes to truTV from AMS Pictures, with Andy Streitfeld (Race Car Driver) and Strokers owner Rick Fairless serving as executive producers. Brad Osborne serves as senior producer, while Jessica Schoenbaechler and Kim Clemons serve as producers.

I always enjoyed the show, I am looking forward to it being on the air again this year. When I get to Dallas I want to stop in there to see if it is anything like the show. I also enjoyed watching Rick design a Bike in Biker Build Off.

Alize -Truth or Hoax - Ma's Roadhouse is COOL October 29, 2010 11:55 AM
I love Ma's Roadhouse you need not to be a biker or alcoholic to watch this show. People who talk a lot of trash about Ma must have not seen the Kardashian's or Jersey Shore. I used to live in Texas I wish I had discovered this bar before I left for Sunny Cali. I don't Ma did so bad with his kids a LAWYER and a BUSINESSMAN not too shabby!! And at 70 plus working she ROCKS!

Angel -Stop, please! October 21, 2010 04:23 AM
I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN, WITHOUT MAKING MY POST A NOVEL. RICK IS PURE DIRTY, ARROGANT, IGNORANT AND FUGLY WHITE TRASH. MA IS FUNNY, BUT HAS NO DECORUM, NO MANNERS, AND HAS NEVER BEEN A "LADY" IN HER LIFE. I USE TO GO TO STROKERS UNTIL I SAW THIS SHOW, NOW I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK. IT IS 100% AN EMBARRASSMENT. IT IS NO WAY REPRESENTATIVE OD DALLAS, NOR TEXAS. THESE IMBECILES MAKE TEXAS LOOK SO FCKIN BAD, AND THAT P*SSES ME OFF THE MOST. I JUST WANT TO CRAWL UNDER A ROCK JUST LOOKING AT THE SHOW. RICK IS SO FCKIN STUPID. FROM HIS NASTY STRIBGY GRAY HIPPE HAIR DOWN TO HIS LACK OF ANY MUSCLES, HOW CAN YOU BE ON THE PLANET THIS LONG AND HAVE "GIRL ARMS"?? WTF? RICK IS NOT TOUGH, HE IS A POSER KOOK. HE IS VERY UNFRIENDLY TO PATRONS AND I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO AGREE. THIS DIRTBAG DOESNT EVEN SAY HI TO HIS GUESTS. "BIG-INS" , I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR HER, SHE HAS BEEN USED IN THIS BAR SINCE SHE WAS YOUNG AND IT USE TO PISS ME OFF THEN THAT HE ALLOWED HER TO DRESS SKIMPY AND WORK THE BAR AS A CHILD. IT IS ALL KINDS OF WRONG. NOW SHE HAS BECOME AS DUMB AS DIRT, JUST LIKE THEM. HER LIFE COULD HAVE BEEN REALLY SOMETHING HAD SHE DISTANCED HERSELF ENOUGH TO FOCUS ON A PROPER LIFE. THE MASOCHISTIC ATTITUDES ARE BARBARIC. I MEAN, SERIOUSLY, I LOVE BIKERS, ETC..BUT EVERY FCKIN WOMAN AND MAN ON THERE IS BUTT UGLY AND YOU ALL HAVE THE NERVE TO PICK APART THE WOMEN ON THE SHOW AND CALL THEM TRASHY? LMFAO HYPOCRITES ARE COWARDS. DPD SHOULD FOLLOW MA AROUND AS SHE PROBABLY SELLS WEED, NOTHING AGAINST SMOKING, IT IS JUST STUPID AS H*LL TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUT OF AN ESTABLISHMENT. I COUDL CREATED FAR MORE FUN DRAMA IN ONE FCKIN DAY THEN THEY HAVE ALL SEASON. SHOW IS BORING AS FCK, THEY ARE LOSING MORE CUSTOMERS (YOU KNOW THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY HAVE MONEY), AND RICK IS RUINING HIS BUSINESS. I LIVE IN DALLAS AND I AM SPREADING ALL KINDS OF RUMORE, INFO, TO DALLAS CITIZENS. PROTESTING...BANNING OF THIS SHOW AND .... FU POSER RICK FOR MAKING TEXAS LOOK DAMN DUMB NO TOUGH GUYS IN THAT BAR, JUST A BUNCH OF P*SSIES RUNNING THEIR IGNORANT MOUTHS. F*CK THIS STUPID, LAME SHOW.
Bigg Steve -Ma Rocks October 17, 2010 08:00 PM
I just adore Ma,she keeps it real and no one or thing can change her.It cheers me up everyweek, after the tough and rough days that I challenge.
DIenna -I love Ma and Rick October 14, 2010 08:38 AM
I am a devout Biker Chick, and I loves the show. ma totally ROCKS! She reminds me of my mom, she is 73 and takes sh*t from NO ONE! Rick has an awesome bar going there. I am going to check it out next spring. Ready to park the ride here in Colorado, snow is right around the corner. I'll be the blonde in the black chaps in her thong and black vest.
Billy Fred -Just Stupid October 13, 2010 07:55 PM
I haven't watched tru tv in a long time. thought I would give at a view. Everyone of their "reality" shows are as stupid as they get. From Ma to Black Gold. Porno script writers could do a better job of writing scripts and porno actors could do a better job of acting. I can't believe they can find advertisers for these shows. If I was Rick and/or Big Dog, I would be embarrassed that my businesses were associated with this stupidity.
R.W. -HARDASS October 12, 2010 08:31 AM
IT MUST BE NICE TO THROW COMMENTS AROUND AND BE NEGATIVE,HOWEVER I NOTICE THAT NO ONE WHO SAID ANYTHING NEGATIVE OR TALKED SH*T HAD THE GUTS TO SAY WHERE THEY WERE.COWARDS,KARMA WILL CATCH UP TO YOU AND YOUR NEGATIVE VIBE WILL COME HOME TEN FOLD.TELEVISION IS ABOUT ENTERTAINMENT!!!!YOU REMEMBER ENTERTAINMENT???THATS WHAT YOU USE TO ENJOY BEFORE WHATEVER SOURED IN YOUR LIFE AND STARTED HIDING IN THE NET TALKING SH*T.COWARDS!!!TRY TO GO ENJOY YOUR SAD LITTLE LIFE BEFORE IT ENDS,APPARENTLY BADLY.AND LET THE PEOPLE ENJOY THEIR ENTERTAINMENT.OH AND IM IN TORRANCE CALIFORNIA IF YOU CARE TO SPEED UP YOUR DATE WITH KARMA,I'LL DEFINITLY ENTERTAIN YOU.
Bobbi -Love this show October 10, 2010 10:52 AM
I love this show. I want to meet MA!!!!! I watch this show over and over and laugh soooo hard
Kat -Sales, Body Jewelry October 8, 2010 07:58 PM
I hope the owners of Ma's Roadhouse read the comments of the negative jerks and laugh all the way to the bank.
Vicky Hilden -Luv ma!! October 7, 2010 08:29 AM
I luv ma on the show. She caaaaraaacks me up!! Whether or not its fake oh well I have seen some awful programs on tv. This show makes me laugh!!! I can't wait to visit and have some ma's tea. Lmao!!! Hell I can make a hamburger hahahaha!!
Mike -Watched one show...that was one show too many October 7, 2010 01:10 AM
Had the whole season ready to be TiVo'ed. After watching one show I couldn't take the old bag's smoke-laden voice any more. No respect for anyone including her son. White trash at its finest. I live in Dallas and bought my Big Dog from them. I dropped in recently and inquired about "Ma". The person I know fairly well at Strokers said she is really a bitch and the daughter is a doubled-up twit. 1st rerality show I couldn't take. I loved the Sturgis bar show. Man that owner's girlfriend was HOT!!!!
justasmartass -Realist October 6, 2010 07:28 PM
Oh yeah Ma just happens to touch a box & it starts repeating like my 1st cd player which had a button where you pushed A & then B & it would bounce back & forth between them. Reality TV it is not! Just people acting dumb for the cameras. Ma does look & sound like she's hit the floor more than once, but if you believe this hog wash you're dumb.
Walt -truth seer October 4, 2010 11:40 AM
This show is BullSh*t!!! It takes away credibility of anyone in it!
Nicole -Really?! October 1, 2010 08:24 AM
Ok, for all you HATERZ out there, This show is the S**T!! And really?!, how retarded to you have to be? Apparently YOU wanted to watch "The poor white trash" and a "gutter mouthed old lady" because your posting about it. So get some brains and CHANGE THE F**KING CHANNEL!!
Nancy -older housewife September 30, 2010 03:08 PM
Come on guys..this is funny & you know it. First of all, some of you "critics" need to use spell check (if you can). Second of all, it's tv, it's supposed to be funny and if you want serious with no laughs, check out PBS (not knocking it, but it's more serious). Rick, Ma and all the gang are soooo entertaining, I'm planning on going just to meet them! Keep up the good work, you have alot of fans out here. Just disregard the ugly remarks, these people can always watch something else. The show isn't for kids (language and bikini babes) but it's adult funny tv at it's best!
Will -Horrible September 30, 2010 12:27 PM
The most fake show I have ever watched in my life. This show needs to be taken off of the t.v. They didn't even try to make this show somewhat believable.
nadine -ma is so fake September 30, 2010 03:52 AM
This show is beyond stupid, and Ma is perfect example as why you shouldn't do drugs, you end working for your son, and trying to act as though it is ok to be foul mouth, common low class gutter snipe, who trying to make it on tv.
Short Bus Janitor -White Trash September 29, 2010 11:10 PM
You're all a bunch of losers! "Oh, the show is great, it's so funny". Give me a break. This is why you're all a bunch of scumbag douchebags. Ever seen the South Park episode making fun of you idiots? Now that is funny.

It's shows like this - Ma's Roadhouse, Full Throttle Saloon, etc. that make people not care about you on the road. I'm serious. When you Aholes ride in "packs" to show how tough you are (because of your little penises and sloppy women), I have personally seen cars swerve towards you just for fun. And I laughed, but wished one of you would have laid your bike down.

You're pathetic. Enjoy going back to your midnight shift (cus it pays $.50 more an hour than day shift!) at the auto plant assembly line job. Oh wait, nevermind, the robots took your job, and when they told you it would happen in the early 90's, you shrugged it off because back then it was "live fast die young". You didn't care. Now you're out of a job, but at least you can watch Ma's Roadhouse and remember the glory days.

See you at Sturgis queers!
Own-Boss -FAKE somewhat funny September 29, 2010 11:08 PM
I saw the commercials for Ma's Roadhouse starting a few weeks back. An old woman who sounds like a robot getting drunk could be worth a few laughs. I watched the episode where she gets her licence, this was funny b/c of how bad she scarred the instructor. This is exactly why old people shouldn't have their licences, haha. But really the acting was terrible and her son comes more off as a mama's boy. Theres no way i believe that guy has daughters. They are just actors, and bad ones at that. I doubt this show will last 5 episodes.
Tammy from the Show Me State -I love the show and I love Ma! September 29, 2010 10:46 PM
Yes you can tell there is some drawn out drama more than the norm, but gotta have some silly stuff to keep us wondering whats next. Ma reminds me of my Granny when I was younger. I used to go stay with Granny during the summer and those are some of the best memories. She didn't cuss like ma but she was just as fiesty an said silly stuff to keep us grandkids laughing and entertained. I could see my granny scaring the driving instructor on purpose and doing little things to aggravate someone just to get a response and of course entain me. I will keep watching and someday hope I can visit in person not just thru a tv. Keep the shows coming..
sarahbear1982 -so fake September 29, 2010 07:14 PM
i know this is stupid but i totally googled that news cast and that stupid reporter doesn't even work at that news channel. the show needs to worl on getting thier actors acting lessons so the show at least seems a little real. and i think that all the shows on this channel are so scripted now. the operation repo used to be somewhat real but now it so made up. cuz seriously if you saw matt coming towards you i think the majority of the people would give him the keys. that is of course until they find out he's a pussy. and rehab hardrock show is so fake too. why they can't get real reality shows is beyond me. there are so many messed up fame hungry losers out there that would love to have thier own show and we would all love to watch them.
jay -please September 29, 2010 06:53 PM
its funny but sooooo fake...bad acting. and that "swat team" please tey were as real as the newscaster and bottle the biker broke in austin
gary -great show September 23, 2010 02:48 PM
what is the address so i can go & party with the bikers.
Lindy Davidson -I LOVE YOUR SHOW September 23, 2010 08:41 AM
Your show rocks. I'm not much for watching television but I won't miss an episode of Ma's Roadhouse and the DVDR is set to record every episode. I love Ma, the lady tells it like it is, has the same sense of humour at jerking people around as I do, like that poor kid giving driving lessons. lmao. Makes me wish instead of stopping in Arkansas when I came from Canada that I'd kept driving straight to Texas. Bless you all and keep the laughs coming. I hope this show gets carried up into Canada in the future as I'm heading back and when I tell Canadians about it now, they want to see it. Again, just absolutely LOVE your show.
Jeffery Neering -ma's road house September 22, 2010 07:41 PM
I love your show
Rob -Give them hell ma! September 21, 2010 11:59 PM
I would love to hang out with ma for a day. She seems like a great lady and you can see a lot of love between the family members. I can't wait to see the next one!
crystal -rock on September 21, 2010 06:34 PM
nothing like opening a place for pimps and rapists motorcycle clubs to hang out, right becca?
gary -weiwalk76@cox.net September 21, 2010 11:27 AM
I dont get it. The hot chicks yes, but some old mouthy drunk grandma dosent appeal to me at all. Pass.
LadyOG -All of the Above September 20, 2010 12:32 PM
I love Ma....I have her voice down perfect...can do a mean assed impression of her .....LOL
Dianna -Ma is hilarious! September 17, 2010 10:57 AM
I love this show, it is funny as hell!
Shade -Marine Corps September 17, 2010 07:55 AM
Love this crazy show. Needs to be one hour. Great women, but need to see some of the bikes and patrons. Ma is good' but needs a slap in the head once in awhile. You have a fan as long as your on. Ride save brothers.
Sancho -Good Show - Good Place September 17, 2010 07:40 AM
Yes, Biker Chick is right... Stroker's Ice House is really just a cool place to hang out... and you can usually find what you need there. I was fortunate enough to hang out and be at the bar during the first episode filming. It is like any other reality show, contrived, but a lot funnier and less stupid or dramatic. No drama, just fun. Rick is a good man and can be seen working around the Ice House on any given Saturday, I have even seen him carry trays of food. He may run a tight ship but he does not take himself so seriously that he cannot talk to his customers. Best of luck to your show Rick!!
joanna cernac -bad ass writer September 17, 2010 03:41 AM
i think the show is cool it shows a different side to the mortorcycling bar world. all i know is i can write a song for the show if ya let me.
None -None September 16, 2010 08:31 PM
There's nothing funny about watching someone drink themselves to death.
Biker Chick -huh? September 16, 2010 08:18 PM
Well folks, I hate to burst your bubble, but I've been to Strokers on lots of occasions. Most of the time it's just a nice normal place to hang out, watch a cool band and have a cold brew. The times I've been there to watch them film were ridiculous...that's not how it is normally. The worst yelling I've ever heard 'Ma' do was when someone didn't pick up their fried bologna sandwich fast enough.
And how many takes do you have to do for 'reality'? o-well. it's not reality...just TV.

Motorcycle Monster -Biker Monster September 16, 2010 07:30 PM
Ma’s Roadhouse Hits a Grand Slam
By Motorcycle Monster

If you missed the debut of the new Tru TV Series, Ma’s Roadhouse, you probably missed the arrival of a “new sheriff in town” in the reality TV / Motorcycle builder world. Custom bike builder Rick Fairless’ Mother affectionately known as Ma, brought her rare candor and smart mouth to the motorcycle masses on Wednesday night with more attitude, piss and vinegar than Paul Sr., Jesse, and a boatload of tattooed bike builders. The best part of the whole deal is Ma and her hard drinking, chain smoking, smart ass way, seems to be as real as it gets, in a TV arena where “scripted story lines” are the norm.

With three generations of family, Rick acts as the “ring master” in this biker world of beer, bikes, and babes with a family and crew of knuckle heads trying to grind out a living, giving bikers what they want, a good time.

Fairless who is obviously a “master at marketing”, gives his guests the rare and unusual, with little regard for anything other than “making a buck”. The wrinkle that makes this show different, is Rick is operating under the watchful eye of his “wacky and irreverent Mom”. He operates his “biker circus act” mainly at the Dallas Ice House Tavern while trying to maintain more conventional business’, next door at the custom bike dealership, parts, and apparel store. And did I mention there is also a tattoo shop on property. I guess calling any of this conventional is a bit of a stretch.

The chemistry that makes this show really something special is the star of the show, a hard driving 71 year-young, Texas gal, who could “give-a-shit-less” about her famous bike builder sons reputation or opinion. She basically says whatever her pretty little head thinks, with no regard for political correctness or who’s listening. It is refreshing to find someone who says, what the rest of us are usually thinking. And, oh by the way, Rick and the rest of the crew are pretty good too.

The Monster gives this new show “a perfect”, Five Monsters Rating, for biker TV. Rick and his great family have “hit this one out of the park” and have a “huge success” on their hands.

Do yourself a favor and check out Ma’s Roadhouse Wednesday at 9:00pm EST on TruTV. You won’t be disappointed.

J.R. -Furniture Sales September 16, 2010 05:04 PM
I am not a biker, nor do I drink anymore, but I thought this show was great fun. I am middle aged and live in an affluent part of Dallas and after viewing this show look forward to visiting the shop, and bar. I think the show centers more on Ma, Rick, the family and employees than the motorcycle world, which is okay. I LOVE THE NEW SHOW!
Becca -homemaker September 16, 2010 09:54 AM
what makes any one think people with any class or taste think we would want to watch poor white trash like this mom person opening her gutter mouth on tv.I used to ride with real bikers and I don't want to. I knew Bandido's and I seriously doubt they consider this place the baddest. LOL what a joke.
Mona -Way to go Ma! September 16, 2010 08:22 AM
Your show is f**ken funny and i just want to say keep speaking your mind Ma! I hope some day i will make it out to Strokers to enjoy the fun you all have.
Mitch -"True" TV? September 9, 2010 03:53 PM
I assume they probably couldn't get the rights to the name from what ever studio still owned "Texas Hardtails" so they had to give it another title. Now I realize Mtv already made staying true to your channel's name and format an obsolete business model years ago but I still have to wonder how they can put a badly scripted and acted so called "reality show" on a channel called "Tru TV". I hope they at least try to devote 5 minutes to an actual bike build or paint job between the forced dialog and slap stick antics but I know better then to hold my breath.
Chief Waldo -Cranky old guy September 9, 2010 12:39 PM
So how is this different from their last show "Texas Hardtails"?
