This summer and fall, bikers chowed down on free corn and gave back to their local communities at the same time, thanks to a little help from Progressive.
They attended motorcycle rallies across the country and ate free corn that Progressive gave away at its “Corn for Kids” booth. While there bikers could make a small donation.
From February through November, bikers donated more than $29,000, which equates to about 200,000 meals that will go to families struggling with hunger via local
Feeding America food banks. A handful of other local charities will also benefit from their generosity.
“Bikers have a very charitable spirit so we wanted to give them an opportunity to give back at events they attend, like motorcycle rallies,” said Marcy Gray, motorcycle product manager with Progressive, the largest motorcycle insurer in the U.S. “We’re proud to see that this year they dug even deeper to help their local communities.”
