Jesse James of West Coast Choppers fame has a book coming out on May 3 called 'American Outlaw,' a fitting title considering the historical figure known as Jesse James was a gunslinger and due to the image many have of the modern Jesse James.
West Coast Choppers (WCC) has shuttered its doors, his marriage to Hollywood darling Sandra Bullock has fallen apart, his reported infidelities have been raked over hot coals by the tabloids and now he’s engaged to LA Ink’s Kat Von D. Sound like the storyline of a book? Well, now it is.
of West Coast Choppers fame is releasing a memoir on May 3 titled “American Outlaw.” The 368-page hardback book is published by Simon & Schuster and lists for $26, but Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for $17.16.
In an ABC News/Entertainment article titled “Will Jesse James Come Clean in ‘American Outlaw?’”, James is quoted as saying "My life has been defined by many things and not just the events of the last year. I just wanted [the memoir] to be a good story, a page-turner and hopefully people will see it as that."
Since closing WCC, James has relocated to Austin, Texas where he has been running the Austin Speed Shop and working on his book. Love him or hate him, James overcame a rough childhood, started West Coast Choppers in his mother’s garage and was once one of the most popular people in the motorcycle industry.
