Black Rock Desert
Ride Distance: 100 + miles
Black Rock features the longest intact segments of the historic emigrant trails to California and Oregon. The terrain is not very difficult but the isolated environment is. Temperatures can soar and water is non-existent in this desert wasteland.
Lake Tahoe, NV
Ride Distance: 10 + miles
Recreational opportunities found on the east shore include water activities, camping, hiking, horseback riding, downhill skiing/snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

Peavine, being a large mountain, consequently has a number of access points such as King's Row, Keystone, Raleigh Heights, Horizon Hills, and Poeville road. Peavine is located in North Reno, Nevada (North-West of UNR campus). Peavine Mountain encompasses 48,000 acres in Northwest Reno.
Pine Forest OHV Area
Ride Distance: 5 + miles
4WD and high clearance vehicles are highly recommended. There are three popular recreation sites within the Pine Forest Recreation Area: the Blue Lakes, Onion Reservoir and Knott Creek Reservoir.

The Winnemucca Dunes is the largest dune field in Nevada. They do not reach heights of more than 100 feet, but span almost 40 miles. The dunes are a mix of sand trails and open dunes which are stabilized by the vegetation near the end of the dune field. The main dunes are a checkerboard of BLM and privately owned land.
