The Alpinestars Tech 8 Light retails for  459.95
The Tech 8 Boot goes on a diet for 2011 in the form of the new Tech 8 Light.
Along with additions to the Touring and Sport segments, Alpinestars Fall 2011 line has all new apparel and protection gear aimed directly at off-road riders.

BOOTS

Alpinestars new Tech 8 Light Boot is built off the same platform as the original Tech 8 Boot, but employs new lightweight materials and construction for a 15% weight savings, or roughly 1/2 pound for the pair. The Tech 8 Light also has some new features like an inner ankle sleeve with interchangeable gel inserts and a trick new replaceable kick starter guard on on the right boot. The new boot also has a revised 4-buckle closure system engineered for smoother actuation. The Tech 8 Light comes in white, black, red, or blue and retails for $459.95.

The Venture Jacket (above) sets a new standard for enduro jackets while the Erzberg WP (below) will keep you dry when the weather turns south.

JACKETS

All new for this fall is Alpinestars’ Venture Jacket for off-road riding. The Venture Jacket is optimized for use with the Bionic Neck Support System and was co-developed by rally raid legend and 2011 Dakar Rally winner, Marc Coma. The Venture has all the practical features you’d expect from an enduro jacket: durable nylon and polyester construction, zippered ventilation, and plenty of pockets. But the the Venture has a few tricks up the sleeve. Hyrdo-pack compatibility with a hose clip on the breast, a flip out credential holder, zip-off sleeves and neoprene borders on the cuffs all come standard as well.

Tired of rainy weekends dashing your hopes of hitting the trail? Check out the new Erzberg WP Jacket and Pants. They both feature a waterproof shell and taped seams to form an impermeable barrier against the elements. The jacket also has sonic welded exterior pockets with waterproof zippers to keep your cell phone and trail mix dry too. The Erzberg jacket is compatible with the Bionic Neck Support and specifically engineered to effortlessly fit over the top of Alpinestars’ line of Bionic Protection Jackets.

The Alpinestars Dual Glove retails for  39.95
The Dual Glove is built to handle the punishment of off-road riding.


GLOVES

The new Dual Glove uses the same basic suede and mesh construction of a motocross glove, but adds additional material and protection for the rigors of enduro riding. The Dual features sonic welded, TPR padding on the top of the hand, as well as silicon printing on the palm and index/middle fingers for extra grip. The Dual glove retails for $39.95.

PROTECTION

Alpinestars' popular Bionic Neck Support Carbon receives updates for 2011 in the form of new EVA foam padding on the chest, shoulder, and back areas. The chest and back zones get a softer foam for more comfort while the shoulder areas get a denser compound for better impact resistance and thus increased safety. The BNS gets the BNG treatment as well with a bold new graphic scheme for 2011.

The Special Blend (SB) version of the Bionic Neck Support also gets a new 2XS size for the fall to better fit youth bar-bangers.
